Acquisition of Desktop Virtualization System

The University Library had acquired 2 sets of desktop virtualization system for its cybernook. It allows up to 6 users to simultaneously share a single PC per set. Each user enjoys their own virtual workspace complete with their own applications, settings, files and preferences providing each user with a rich PC experience.

The system greatly reduces computing hardware cost and energy consumptions. It is configured to run on Ubuntu, an Open Source software.
